Auxion™ Supports Nutrient Utilization
for Finishing Pigs & Lactating Sows

Patent-protected Technology Proven Across Eight Studies

In late finishing and during lactation, incremental improvements in nutrient utilization compound quickly. A 5% increase in average daily gain across a seven-week finishing window, or a measurable improvement in piglet weaning weight across a litter, adds up at scale in ways that move the economics of the operation.

Auxion is NutriQuest’s patent-protected nutrient utilization supplement designed specifically for these two high-value production phases: the final finishing phase (175 lbs. to market weight) and the lactation phase. Five controlled finishing pig studies and three sow studies demonstrate consistent, statistically significant improvements in the metrics that matter most to pork producers.

How Auxion Works

Auxion improves nutrient and energy utilization in the digestive system. In finishing pigs, that means more of the feed consumed in the final seven weeks converts into carcass weight at harvest rather than being excreted. In lactating sows, improved energy utilization supports milk production, reflected in reduced blood NEFA levels and improved piglet weaning weights in NutriQuest studies.

Auxion is chemically synthesized through a patent-protected manufacturing process, making it a proprietary technology that cannot be replicated by generic alternatives.

Finishing Pig Performance

In five controlled NutriQuest finishing pig studies conducted between 2022 and 2024, pigs fed Auxion from 175 lbs. to market weight showed consistent improvements across every study:

Using Iowa State University equations, NutriQuest estimated an approximately 2.5% reduction in carbon footprint for pigs fed Auxion based on improvements in feed conversion and livability trends across the five studies. This is a modeled estimate, not a directly measured outcome.

Lactating Sow & Weaned Pig Performance

Auxion also improves performance during the lactation phase. In three NutriQuest lactating sow studies, litters from Auxion-fed sows weaned heavier pigs compared to controls, with statistically significant results in two of three individual studies and across the meta-analysis.

NutriQuest sow studies show an 8.3:1 ROI for lactating sows fed Auxion.
